Google vs Facebook – Bring on GoogleMe

It’s rumoured that Google will be launching a social networking service called GoogleMe to rival Facebook. Google already has a social networking powerhouse in Orkut but that is only popular in Brazil it even does better than Facebook. GoogleMe is only a rumour at the moment with no confirmations but there is never any smoke without fire and it would suit Google to bring out a simplified social networking site.

Goggle is bigger than Facebook and can achieve anything that they put their mind too so we predict that GoogleMe will become Facebook’s biggest rival if not conqueror as people are slowly becoming bored and fatigued with Facebook and will look to use somethign new, fresh and unique.

GoogleMe refers to someone Googleing you to find out more information about you you tend to say “GoogleMe” we think that GoogleMe will be incorporated into the current structure of Google and those with account already will automatically join the Social networking platform.

Our GoogleMe predictions:

GoogleMe will launch sooner that most think possibly as early as August 2010,
GoogleMe will overtake Twitter within a year and may even be the death of Twitter.
GoogleMe will be slick fast and unlike anything you have seen before.
Google is the number 1 ranked site in the the world according to Alexa they have millions of members in many areas of the internet Youtube is one of them which is ranked at number 3. It will take GoogleMe no time whatsoever to get right up there with the best of the best ie Facebook.

We love a good competition and so should you it keeps things fresh and our beloved websites on their tiptoes with news features and implementations bring it on!!

Facebooks version of retweet

Facebook has took another stage to keep up with the boom of Twitter with introducing its version of twitters popular retweet functionality. On twitter if you like someones post (tweet) you can retweet the tweet so that it appears on your Twitter wall for you followers to see a form of viral looping. Facebook as made a new feature that allows you to share another friends link on your profile its called “Facebook via” and works exactly the same as the retweet function. At the moment the facebook via is limited to links post on Facebook but soon no dount after some initial testing the featrure will be on everything you can think of on Facebook.

This in our opinion is a great step to secure the top spot as the worlds most favored social networking platform, personally we don’t use twitter ad we finds it a bit pointless on a personal level but its great for marketing strategies for your website or any website.

Facebook Buttons – Share your Facebook profile and pages

We would like to tell you about a cool site we came across called Facebook Buttons it lets is users hotlink their cool images on sites they use to promote their Facebook profiles and pages. The site is pretty new but has some cool images to use for Facebook and Twitter. We have already added their buttons to our site so on the bottom of the main navigation if you use facebook feel free to add us a friend or if you use Twitter follow us and we will follow you back. The website also has some cool Twitter Buttons too.

You can add your link then simply copy the code for the image you want then paste it into your forum signatures, blog or website from there people will follow the image and either add you or become a fan or follow you on either website pretty cool eh!

Facebook and Twitter on my Xbox 360

WoWee we hear you say! That’s right dear readers This falls Xbox 360 update will include a snazzy update to allow you to access facebook on your Xbox 360 as well as accessing Twitter too. We have had the privilege of watching a user interface video and we have to report that it looks very swish and we are sure that the Facebook, Twitter and Xbox integration will be a huge hit with all Xbox 360 fans in fact we predict that it may steer users of the Free online PS3 system towards the Subscription based Xbox 360.

Remember how we explained the frequently asked question regarding Facebook, how does Facebook make money? and that Microsoft bought shares in Facebook way back in 2007 well we are starting to see the tell tale signs of Microsoft’s involvement with Facebook It is also rumoured that Microsoft are planning a purchase of Twitter too who knows perhaps Microsoft have already done it on the hush hush. This kind of integration is a great step forward by Facebook, Twitter and Microsoft. Microsoft has already integrated its Bing Search engine into facebook search as we reported last month.

Facebook Is The Best Social Networking Website

Facebook is the most popular social networking website around today, will anything ever beat it or come close? The site currently boasts to having around 250 million active users worldwide Twitter currently has 25 million active users and MySpace 100 million. Youtube which is not ideally a networking site has the most with 300 million active users and currently is the 2nd most used site in the world accoring to alexa. The great thing about facebook is the depth the site has to it what with all the applications and things you can do the activities you can get involed with and keep busy are endless. Facebook is simply the best and probably will be for alltime the site at first is very addivtive and makes hooking up with old friends so easy it really is a great little online site for such.

Add all your facebook friends to twitter

We have just stumbled across this cool tool that lets you add all your friends from facebook to your twitter follow list with instructions for them to do the same.

Go to the site and allow it to access your facebook account from there it will grab your friends then then see if their using twitter and ping them to follow you after you follow them.

Joining the twitter bandwagon

Twitter is becoming a bit of an online phenomenon everyone is talking about it likes its the best thing since sliced bread and as a result its very hard to aqquire a domain with twitter in it! We have tried all sorts of domains like twitterbuddies to no avail and even our beloved twitterhut has gone too :( we have aqquired one though hopefully we will release more news on this after some development. So with all the fuss of twitter we have decided to now join the micro bloggin platform and have already gathered some interest via our twitter page. Take a look and follow us we will fllow those that follow.
