This is really quite awesome and we have not seen this kind of thing before if you have please tell us about it.
The huge Music Festival Glastonbury in England had a huge panoramic photograph taken by Orange of the the entire crowd and you can now go to that image at http://glastonbury.orange.co.uk/glastotag/ and tag yourself or friends its very cool!

Facebook has 350 million users so why does it stuggle to make money?

Facebook has more users than the population of the USA Wow! With that kind of traffic and usage it’s hard to think that Facebook will ever drop off the web or struggles to make any kind of real money from advertising. The latter does apply to Facebook it struggles to make as much money as it should considering it’s the second most used website in the entire world according to the Facebook Alexa rank.

There are websites being used right now that has a tenth of Facebooks traffic and makes more than they do so wheres the glitch? It’s considered that the type of niche that Facebook sits in is one that has always found it hard to make as much as other sites do in other niches this is because the users of social networking sites are focused on usage and not advertising or searching for something on facebook that’s not related to facebook which will direct them off site via and advertisement. Consider this how many people do you think find Facebook via a search engine looking for “frosted glass windows” the key term that users use search engines to get to Facebook is “Facebook” once their their they will be primarily focused on usage and learn to ignore the irrelevant ads. The other option that I think Facebook will introduce in time or should is video advertisements, I think these have more impact that image ads more and more people are using the internet now than ever and most do not even bother watching Television anymore so in time video advertising will be prominent on all websites as an advertising medium.

We have tried and tested Facebooks advertising platform to no avail its very hard to target your advertising campaign to the type off traffic your requiring so we gave up.

GroupCard is a sweet facebook application as it allows you to create a card that you promote to friends that promote to their friends and so on to sign the card sort of link chain. Some may look at it as some kind of petition process on facebook some group cards have well over 6 000 members stamp on them.

Facebook Poker Texas Holdem

Almost everyone I know is playing this on facebook it’s a card game the best one you can play for skill and fun. Texas hold em is poker at its best it’s an addictive game to say the least once you get the bug you wont be able to stop the game deals 2 cards to you and your fellow players at which point you decide if you want to take part by posting your blinds and then the dealer deals 3 cards face up on the table this is called the flop. There is then a round of betting then once the betting ends the dealer deals the next card the called the turn another round of betting commences until the dealer deals the last card known as the the river. Another round of betting commences and then the game ends. At each betting point you have to choose whether or not to stay in the game by calling bets and raises or by checking carrying on without betting only if other players have not raised or bet. The cards you have in your hand and the cards dealt by the dealer is what makes your hand there is a hands ranking which is as follows;

Royal Flush – Straight of one suit Ace High.

Straight Flush – A straight of the same suit.

Four-of-a-Kind - Four cards of the same rank.

Full House - Three-of-a-kind and a pair.

Flush – Five cards of the same suit.

Straight - Five cards of sequential rank.

Three-of-a-Kind - Three cards of the same rank.

Two Pair – Two cards of the same rank and another two cards of the same rank.

One Pair – Two cards of the same rank.

High Card – When you dont have any of the above your highest card determines your hand.

Wall post – what the heck?

When you first join facebook its kind of bewildering at first you dont know where to go or what to do and one of the first things you see is something called a wall.

This space is where people leave open public comments on your profile such as “Hey man good to see you on here we should hook up sometime” as welll as photos you have uploaded, recent activity and even photos you have been tagged in by others.

You then have a series of options if any of these events occur on your wall.
If someone writes on your wall you can click the ‘wall to wall‘ link which allows you to send the reply back to their wall without actually visiting their wall this is all achieved through some very clever ajax coding on facebook we will talk more about that later.

You can also have a super wall but we dont really see too much of that now with the recent facebook updatesso we wont go into detail about that.

The wall is considered the core of facebook although in recent times since the surge of twitter, facebook as steeered more towards the home landing page as the core which acts very similar to a wall in the sense that it shows activity but all your friends activity and not yours.

We think that facebook became scared of twitters impact and thus changed it’s design and layout to that of twiiters functionality however facebook still remains the best social networking site on the internet due to its vast features and memberships base.
