This one is really simple people you don’t need to read through a huge step by step tutorial list all you do is click this link and it will take you to the Facebook Group page no messing about. If your logged into Facebook it will take you directly to the page if you are not then you will be prompted to login into Facebook. Restore Facebook Homepage

There is a neat trick discovered by a women called Dawn Kelly from Leicester in England. You can restore your facebook homepage to its original setting after the October update by following this neat trick.

To restore Facebook to old look…Look to the top left menu and click on MORE (in blue). Then drag STATUS UPDATES to the top. After dragging to the top, click on it. That becomes your default and it will become like before. Pass it on!

This is a very annoying attribute to Facebook when logging in this message appears which reads

Cookies are not enabled on your browser. Please adjust this in your security preferences before continuing.

There is a simple resolution but it entirely depends on which web browser you are are using the most commonly used web broswer is Internet Explorer IE for short and is developed by Microsoft and it comes pre installed on all pcs with any version of the windows operating system.

Enable Cookies in Internet Explorer Resolution in easy steps:

Click on the Tools popup-menu in Internet Explorer.
Click on the Internet Options item in the menu – a new window opens.
Click on the Privacy tab near the top of the window.
Click on the Sites button – another window opens.
Enter timeanddate.com in the text field and then click Allow. timeanddate.com will appear in the “Managed webisites” list below with a Setting of Allowed
Save changes by clicking Ok in each window.

The facebook poke as been used millions of times throughout the world and is unique to facebook, the action lets you poke your friends with options for them to poke you back here we list basic instructions on how to poke a friend on facebook.

Make sure your logged into facebook.
Use the search bar to look for the friend you wish to poke, type their name and then click on their profile link.
Now you have located the friend you wish to poke hit the ‘Poke’ link.
Make sure you happy with the poke then click the confirm action button the poke will be sent
The next time your friends logs into facebook they will will receive a notification of the poke and may poke you back.

For the poke to show up on your friends wall it must be done using the publisher.

Add your facebook status to your blog

If you would like your facebook status displayed on your blog then use these neat trick to do so. You can use a facebook status plugin but if your blog wont allow it this method is the best solution.

Step 1

feed column and then click on see all.

Step 2

In Mini Feed click Status Stories in the right column. Scroll down and select My Status.

Step 3

You now need to copy the my status link as this is the link you will need to put into your blog.

Step 4

Log into your blog and go to your appearance page from there slect widgets you now want an rss widget .

Final Step

Now you have the text area open you have to paste the link you got from facebook into this and name it something like Facebook Status or whatever you like.

Thats it your all done your facebook status will now be visible on your blog so your readers can see what your up to.

Hide My Facebook Status

Sometimes when logged into facebook it can be a very annoying thing all those little popups from your friends asking you “hi how are you?” the best solution is to hide your facebook status by going offline. You can hit the offline button in your facebook chat bar bottom right of your facebook page to go completely offline or select certain friends that will see you as being off line when others wont. If you want to jump on facebook without your loved one knowing your on there this is a great tool to do so remember though to set your status to online when you have finished.

Instructions to go offline are as follows:

Click the Green button bottom right of your facebook page whilst logged in.
A popup comes up slect options.
Select the grey button go offline.

Instructions to go offline to selected friends are as follows:

Click the Green button bottom right of your facebook page whilst logged in.
A popup comes up select options.
Your online friends are divided into groups where the group title is in the chat list hover over it and you will see a go offline option click this to set your status to offline to those in that category of friends.

Display selected friends pictures in your friends list box

On your facebook profile page you have a friends list box that shows 6 random friends profile photos, you can edit this to restrict certain friends from showing in the random pattern. To do this simply click on the “edit” pencil in your Friends box and iput the names of the friends you want to display choose the box that says Always show these friends

Flickr2Facebook is a Flickr to Facebook upload tool which allows you upload photos to Facebook from Flickr.

Instructions:

Login
Save the bookmarklet to your web-browser’s bookmarks. You only have to do this once!
Surf to the Flickr page with the image on it you would like to upload.
Click the bookmarklet in your web-browser’s bookmarks.
Click on the Flickr2Facebook logo that appears over the image. This will popup the upload window!
Choose the album you would like to upload the image into.

Put Facebook Chat In Firefox Sidebar

When you chat on facebook using the private chat tool which is very cool you can have it in you left side bar making it easier to use and navigate.

If you press ‘Ctrl’ first keep it help and then press the ‘B’ key on your keyboard you will see the sidebar pop in on the left side so you have an idea of where the chat bar will go.

Step 1

Click Bookmarks at the top to the right of file.

Step 2

Click New Bookmark tab then enter the infromation:

Name: Facebook
Chat Bar
Location: http://www.facebook.com/presence/popout.php
Make sure you tick Load this bookmark in sidebar.

Step 3

Chat Bar’ and start chatting with your Facebook contacts within Firefox.
