Google vs Facebook – Bring on GoogleMe
It’s rumoured that Google will be launching a social networking service called GoogleMe to rival Facebook. Google already has a social networking powerhouse in Orkut but that is only popular in Brazil it even does better than Facebook. GoogleMe is only a rumour at the moment with no confirmations but there is never any smoke without fire and it would suit Google to bring out a simplified social networking site.
Goggle is bigger than Facebook and can achieve anything that they put their mind too so we predict that GoogleMe will become Facebook’s biggest rival if not conqueror as people are slowly becoming bored and fatigued with Facebook and will look to use somethign new, fresh and unique.
GoogleMe refers to someone Googleing you to find out more information about you you tend to say “GoogleMe” we think that GoogleMe will be incorporated into the current structure of Google and those with account already will automatically join the Social networking platform.
Our GoogleMe predictions:
- GoogleMe will launch sooner that most think possibly as early as August 2010,
- GoogleMe will overtake Twitter within a year and may even be the death of Twitter.
- GoogleMe will be slick fast and unlike anything you have seen before.
- Google is the number 1 ranked site in the the world according to Alexa they have millions of members in many areas of the internet Youtube is one of them which is ranked at number 3. It will take GoogleMe no time whatsoever to get right up there with the best of the best ie Facebook.
